The ideal candidate should be skilledin the fields of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Earth and EnvironmentalSciences or Civil Engineering, with a strong background in statistics. Specificskills in the field of climate science will be considered a plus. Moreover, thecandidate should be strongly motivated to work in a pluralist andmulti-disciplinary environment, collaborating with the STEM and socialscientists of the CARISMA research centre.

The candidate will be part of theCARISMA team and will be also involved in the R&D group of the MITOTechnology company. The CARISMA team within IUSS is composed by STEM and Socialscientists working on different aspects of climate change among which: dataanalysis and modelling of Earth system and economic system processes; impactassessment of extreme natural events and anthropogenic activities on human andnatural environments.
