The five days event is challenging the PhD candidates on the climate neutrality of the Italian cities
A CU3 (Technology and territory) event is currently taking place at the Università degli Studi di Brescia.
As the main consumers of the energy system and emitters of global CO2 emissions, cities play a pivotal role in climate action. But what are they effectively doing? This five-day CU3 event delves into the planning process of 8 Italian municipalities selected for the European Mission “100 Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities by 2030” to become climate neutral.
While breaking the ice with wool yarns, attending seminars and working in groups, CU3 PhD students of the 37th and 38th cycle are working together to understand how these Italian cities are addressing such a challenge. The results of the group works will be presented next Friday during an online event.
The CU3 event is promoted in collaboration with the University Research and Documentation Center for the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda (CRA 2030) of the University of Brescia (www.cra2030.unibs.it), and within the framework of the Horizon2020 2ISECAP Project.
