What aspects of the local culture stood out to you (something you loved or perhaps found challenging)? Was there a favorite place where you enjoyed spending time, and how did you make the most of your free time?
One aspect of the local culture in Wageningen that stood out to me—and that I absolutely loved—was the culture of sustainability, which was evident in everything, from the city’s infrastructure to the daily habits of its residents. It resonated deeply with me and made me more conscious of sustainable practices in my own life. In my free time, I took advantage of the bike-friendly culture to explore nearby towns and immerse myself in the natural beauty of the Netherlands. Moreover I loved vegan restaurants as well as walking along Utrecht canals.
