About me

I am a Civil Engineer and during my bachelor thesis I studied the hydraulic interactions between bridges and rivers. I won a post-grad fellowship to assess and monitorhighway bridges in a multi-risk and multi-level evaluation with reference to the latest scientific and regulatory at national level. So, I became interested in methodologies for flood vulnerability assessment of bridges, physical critical assets in the transportation network.

My research

The core of my research is to derive flood risk scenarios at the micro-scale, focusing on critical infrastructures vulnerability (riverine and/or pluvial flooding) and their socio-economic impacts in case of a failure. The main goal is to develop a supporting decision tool to preserve CI's efficiency during/after an event. The research is expected to effectively assist risk stakeholders, such as Civil Protection, transport network managers etc.
