About me

I worked on the genetic diversity and evaluation of rice germplasm for salinity tolerance at the reproductive stage and gene expression of zinc transporter genes in the Philippines and India. I also participated in a training program in Costa Rica which focused on food and nutrition security at the planetary and household level. After my PhD, I will return to my country to facilitate research on crop water productivity.

My research

Understanding crop evapotranspiration (ETc) process and developing models for estimating ETc are crucial for effective and efficient irrigation scheduling and enhancing the efficiency of water use. My research project tackles and articulates knowledge gaps regarding the interaction between yield and biomass and water productivity as affected by water availability in the soil and climate change through crop modeling and remote sensing approaches.
