About me

I am Swiftie (Taylor Swift fan for those who don't know) PhD student in Climate Science! I got a bachelor in Atmospheric Sciences and a Master in Physical Oceanography. After that I did a postgraduate diploma in Earth System Physics. I am interested in climate change and its implications in different sectors, such as agriculture and health. I work mostly with climate model simulations, reanalysis and obs, I am also interested in climate modelling!

My research

Currently I am working with compound extreme events (CHWDE), specifically, heat waves and drought and the associated large circulation patterns (LCP) that drive these extreme events in a present climate. The idea is identify these LCP and the main characteristics of the CHWDE in a reference period to better predict them in the future, since climate models still have errors identifying and predicting them correctly.
