Industrial biotechnologist
My professional background has always seen me interested in the world of biotechnology. During my Master's thesis, I had the opportunity to improve my research skills by studying the chemical and physical characteristics of industrial silica powders and their activity towards model biomembranes. With this PhD, I took the opportunity to return to the study of biocatalysis and to contribute to the development of green chemistry.
Currently my research activity consists in combining the activity of biocatalysts with the properties of unconventional green solvents in order to optimize chemical reactions of industrial interest in a more sustainable way following the Principles of Green Chemistry.
