About me

I am a remote sensing data researcher, working with satellite images and cryosphere. In my earlier work I have worked with Wildlife Sanctuary, Wildlife Institute and Indian Institute of Remote sensing in India. My work dealt with mapping the permafrost boundary in Himalayas and mapping spatio-temporal estimates of methane emissions from permafrost with changing climate and growing recorded temperatures as a part of SDG 13.

My research

The current project deals with three aspects modeling permafrost extent with changing ground surface temperature, estimating the active layer dynamics with the surface energy shifts, lastly measuring the release of carbon dioxide and methane from permafrost layer which are the major gases contributing to warming climate. As a part validation and assesment I will make field based measurement in Alaska as a part of planned activity.
