About me

While studying  medical biotechnology I fell in love more and more with the world of  neuroscience. Therefore, I spent my master thesis on a project regarding cell replacement strategies in Huntington's disease. Then, I could continue with a  fellowship during which I was involved in a project with the aim to  characterize new compound able to boost neuro-muscular communication. This Phd would give me the chance to proceed with my research career.

My research

Alzheimer's  disease (AD) is a multifactorial neurodegenerative condition that represents  the main cause of dementia and, unluckily, disease-modifying treatment are not yet available. Therefore, there is increasing interest in studying  lifestyle interventions that could delay AD onset and/or mitigate the  symptoms. In this study we aim to clarify if molecules released by plants, together with physical activity, could give some benefits.
