About me

I obtained both my BSc and MSc at the University of Turin in the field of Biotechnology. During my master thesis I worked in the Biochemistry lab of DBIOS on the expression of biocatalysts for CO2 conversion. This PhD is a great opportunity to continue my research and learn new things.

My research

The research aims to exploit biocatalysts such as bacterial enzymes for GHG effect mitigation via CO2 conversion to chemicals and biofuels. The biocatalysts will be directly interfaced with photo-activated semiconductors and will be used to develop bio-cathodes that allow the production of bio-hydrogen and to reduce CO2 .
