Biologist with a MSc in Biodiversity and Evolution
Biologist with a background in chemical ecology, I am passionate about plants and their adaptations. I am specialized in metabolomics and phenomics, used to understand plant responses to stresses. Graduated at the University of Bologna, I worked in multicultural environments during a traineeship in Kenya (Research Partners for Africa) and an Erasmus+ in Germany (Marburg University). I volunteer for env protection and social inclusion associations
My research project focuses on understanding how plants respond to single and combined abiotic stresses (e.g., drought, flooding, salinity, heat and cold) and possible solutions to alleviate this problem. Specifically, I am analyzing the photosynthetical, phenological and metabolic plant response under these conditions that simulate likely and increasingly frequent future scenario to better comprehend abiotic stress effects on plants.
