About me

I'm graduated in Cellular and Molecular Biotechnology and now I'm enrolled as PhD candidate in Plant Physiology and Biotechnology Lab of University of L'Aquila.I have experience in expression, purification and characterization of recombinant proteins, especially plant oligosaccharide oxidases and in transgenic plants analysis.

My research

Plant cell walls are the first line of defense against pathogens. Polygalacturonases are enzymes secreted by fungi that degrade cell wall components, particularly pectins. This degradation weakens the cell wall, facilitates pathogen invasion, and triggers plant defense responses.  Understanding how plants respond to cell wall damage at the molecular level is crucial for developing disease resistance strategies.
