Federico Zilia is a PhD student in Sustainable Development and Climate Change and he is visiting scholar at University of Milan. His scientific interests are based on weather shocks and labor market. The key objective of this research is to link results with policies implication because low wages and unemployment may have significant impacts on workers welfare. Moreover, he also focused on sustainable business models and circular economy.
The aim of the research is to investigate the impacts of weather shocks on labor markets. Higher temperatures may generate a reduction in labor supply in sectors with high exposure to climate. Using panel data and fixed-effect model it will be studied the inter-sectoral labor reallocation effect in the European countries, analyzing the degree to which workers move between sectors as an adjustment effect following a temperature shock.
