Analytical chemistry
Through this doctoral program I am deepening my knowledge of separative sciences and instrumental analytical chemistry. Indeed, the application of multidimensional methods is to date fundamental for the characterization of industrial wastes. Therefore, these methods allow us to pursue the goal of designing sustainable processes for the valorization of high-value molecules and detailed fingerprinting of complex chemical samples.
My research focuses on multidimensional gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry, but also on new extraction methods such as headspace solid-phase microextraction. The application of these analytical approaches is critical for both waste valorization and the development of processes consistent with green chemistry principles.
