Master's in Geography
I am a coastal geomorphologist. My core interest lies in understanding how geomorphological research can be beneficial for disaster risk reduction and sustainable development of coastal areas. Moreover, my scientific expertise also relates to data processing using geographical information system and remote sensing.
The main aim of the research is geomorphological mapping and hazard assessment of coastal sites of the Mediterranean, merging ground-based, satellite, aerial remote sensing, as well as marine surveys. Understanding the cause and effect of coastal risk by providing data and interpretation tools is one of the key objectives of this work. The research also targets at building an understanding of adaptation strategies for sustainable development.
