About me

I am an environmental engineer, and my studies were centered on integrated urban water management, mainly in SuDS, and the quantification of the ecosystem services. I have worked as a teaching assistant for the hydrology courses. Also, I partook in projects to reduce the carbon footprint in cities, which included mitigation and adaptation actions. I am interested in sustainability issues and the role of green infrastructure in the climate change.

My research

The research aim is to generate a tool to design and assess the potential benefits of new urban green infrastructures to mitigate urban heat island (UHI) effects. For that, will be validate numerical models (typically CFD models or hybrid multi-physics models) describing the green infrastructure. Also, will be collected data from geo-referenced data (e.g., via the Copernicus database) and ground thermo-physical measurements.
