Nouman Ahmed received B.S. (2018) and M.S. (2022) degrees in Electrical Engineering and started his research project for SDC in 2023 at the University of Pavia, focusing on analytical tools and a methodological framework to refine energy consumption, energy optimization and carbon emission mitigation strategies aligned with SDGs. His investigation focuses on extensive energy consuming equipment in industrial and building setup especially HVAC.

A collaborative research project with Alens Srl, exploring the intersection of energy systems and sustainability. The dissertation focuses on leveraging AI/ML techniques to explore new energy indicators, providing actionable insights that addresses carbon neutrality, data-driven insights to support decision-making in sustainable energy management and strategies for reducing carbon emissions and increase system-wide energy efficiency.
