About me

I am a PhD student in population genomics at the Università Politecnica delle Marche, focusing on genomic adaptations to climate change. I have experience in advanced sequencing techniques and bioinformatics analysis to study genetic variability and evolutionary responses. My goal is to contribute to species conservation by investigating the molecular mechanisms that enable adaptation to changing environmental conditions.

My research

My research focuses on the genomic adaptations of Bombina pachypus to the past climate change. The goal is to understand how small, fragmented populations of this endangered toad respond to environmental changes. Through whole-genome sequencing, variant calling, and gene expression studies, I will identify genetic variants under selection and examine adaptive mechanisms.
