I'm an engineer, during the last years I worked in many fields related to hydraulics, geotecnichs, design of structures and educational and research activities. I'm doing this PhD because I want to improve my knowledge about these topics and issues, studying a field such as meteorology where there are still many open challenges.

My research topic regards the seasonal forecasts, a time scale that could be crucial in many sectors of activity planning such as agriculture and water management. I firstly want to improve my statistics and informatics skills, and on the other side concentrate the research on climate topics. Putting together the two, I'll have the needed tools to evaluate forecast products and their skill to predict determined events.
