About me

Both my BS and MS are on chemistry. During the period of my master's thesis I have been working on the development of thermochromic temperature indicators in the group of prof. Mandel in Erlangen, Germany. Despite the lovely time spent there, I wanted to explore a bit more the field of energy storage and battery applications. Eventually I am in Torino, and under the supervision of prof. Bordiga, I focus on the synthesis of solid electrolytes.

My research

My research concentrates on the development of metal-organic frameworks (MOF) able to conduct single-ions, aiming to work as electrolyte materials for batteries (Li, Na, or Mg based). As part of a collaboration between the university (i) and the polytechnical institute (ii) of Torino, the syntheses of the MOF are conducted in the labs of prof. Bordiga (i), while the electrochemical characterization in the labs of prof. Gerbaldi (ii).
