About me

During my master degree studies I spent more than a year in the ecotoxicology and environmental chemistry laboratory, learning a lot about ecotoxicological analysis, especially, biomarker analysis and biochemical and cellular effects induced by contaminants on marine biota, deepening analysis of microscopy, spectrophotometry and gas chromatography. I had a scholarship, where I specialized in the extraction and characterization of microplastics.

My research

In my PhD program I am evaluating the presence of contaminants of emerging concerns (CECs) on biotic and abiotic marine matrices, through marine environmental monitoring and sampling. Moreover with laboratory exposures, I am studying the biological effects of CECs on different marine organisms.
